A Dance Festival in Natural places

 

 

A dance and performing art festival that connects different artistic and naturalistic experiences in forgotten places, or not habitually practiced, of the Emilia Romagna's territory: six weekly events between June, July and August propose  a walk for spectators accompanied by a guide to site-specific performances that will take place in suggestive views during the sunset time. The project, under the artistic direction of C&C Company is supported by: Municipality of San Lazzaro di Savena, Municipality of Ozzano dell'Emilia, Municipality of Bologna and Municipality of Casalecchio di Reno in accordance with Consorzio Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi e Calanchi dell'Abbadessa.

 

A Festival to rediscover the wonders of the Park together by sharing a sensory and unusual experience. The project by the C&C Cultural Association that sees dance and performance art dialogue with the suggestive and uncontaminated spaces of the Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi and Calanchi dell’Abbadessa touching the territories of the Municipalities around Bologna. Every edition, ten events distributed on Tuesdays in the months of June, July and August, they offer spectators - accompanied by an expert environmental guide a walk with a practicable path surrounded by nature, to arrive in a shared space dedicated to site-specific performances that will take place exclusively for the duration of the twilight phase of sunset. At the end, the public will be escorted back and provided with torches to return to the rest and meeting areas. Danzare il Tramonto is the spokesperson for a recovery of memory and enjoyment of places sometimes forgotten or abandoned by community and artistic practices, bringing you a zero environmental impact through the omission of sound and lighting systems, and the use of wireless headphones instead to encourage listening to music and a more intimate one experience, thus proposing an alternative dialogue between nature and technology.
